Today we finally met with Dr. Zittergruen the St. Luke's Pediatric Cardiologist for consult regarding the heart murmur that was discovered while Kaden was in the NICU. The Dr. said that Kaden's chest x-ray and EKG were both un-remarkable and he was also impressed with how good of a boy he was by behaving and just calmly looking up at the Dr. so he could really get a good listen to his heart!!! The Dr. said he thinks what Kaden has is just what they consider a benign pediatric murmur called a "Still's murmur". Doctor Z said it is nothing to worry about and related to his prematurity and slight anemia that he has basically recovered himself from.... he should probably fully grow out of it by the time he is a year old. He wants to see Kaden back the end of July to just check up on things and the Dr. said that if at that time he had any concerns we would do a Echo. Oh....and of course they did weigh him again, and he was 9 lbs 4 oz today!!!

13 weeks old today :-)
It's sure crazy how fast time flies & how true it is that your babies do indeed grow up fast!! This is my last week home with Kaden before returning to work on Monday :-(
He will spend next week with my Mom and the following week with my sister extending out the date that he would finally have to go to daycare to February 14th :-(
13 weeks old today.....when the visiting nurse came today to give him his January Synagis shot, he weighed in at 9 lbs 1 oz!! (wouldn't it be rough to have people get this excited about your weight gain! HAHA)Even though the first 36 days of his life weren't what anyone wishes for......having him here with us has given us more joy than we could have ever asked for!! I have treasured every minute that I have gotten to spend with him so far & look forward to watching our strong little boy continue to grow!!

2 month shots
Today Kaden started his shots getting the routine 2 month vaccines and the oral rotavirus vaccine! He was a very good sport considering and was easily consolable right afterwards! They were very pleased with his weight.....7 lbs 12 oz and length of 20 1/4 inches! All his good work allows us to not have to go back to the pediatrician until the end of February when he gets his 4 month shots!!!!!!!
