NICU Follow-up apt

Today we went back to the NICU for the first of a total of 4 follow-up apts that St. Luke's does with their preemie patients. We got to see so many of the wonderful nurses again that took care of him during his 36 days there and they were so happy to see him doing soo good! They were VERY impressed with Kaden's motor skills and couldn't believe at 4 months corrected how he was grabbing all the toys they were giving him and holding his head up so good on his stomach and looking at them and smiling! They just wish he was eating more and more often.... but think he is distracted learning all these new things he can do now that eating isn't his priority! He is gaining weight even though he isn't a big eater. They weighed him and he was 13 lbs today. Still a little Peanut....but on the right track! We will go back at 9 months, 18 months and 2 yrs old. Thursday we are off the the Pediatrician to get 6 month shots!!

New Equipment

Today we went to the eye Dr. for his 6 month preemie eye check up and things looked perfect with his eyes! We won't have to follow up with them again until next year at this time when he believe it or not would be 18 months! Above was his first time trying out his Easter present! He loves to watch the flashing lights and listen to the music! Lots of equipment for such a little guy! HA

Taking a break

 Monday he started in with another cold! I had this feeling all last week maybe he had a ear infection or something since he hadn't been eating as much as I know he was capable of eating. Of course my feeling was wrong.... after going to the Dr. Monday it is again viral and no ear infection so no trip to the Dr. was needed after all! At the Dr. he weighed 12 lbs 2 oz. He gobbles rice cereal down now and he sure loves the sweet potatoes that I mix in with his liquid iron.....can't get either of them in his mouth fast enough! Today we went for his 6 month pictures.....hopefully by the end of the week the photographer will have them posted on her website and I can post the link to them on here!
