A Long Weekend :-)

So this boy is a very temperamental bottle eater! Sometimes he sucks it right down and then other times he just will refuse to take it! I took him in Monday convinced something was wrong with him or ear infection or something and they said nothing was wrong but in the past month he hasn't gained any weight....hovering around 13 lbs 11oz;  so we go back next week for another check up and weigh in to see where he's at. He loves to eat oatmeal and baby food but when it comes to the bottle you just never know! For his meals we primarily still try to give him his formula since it has the most fat/calories/protein  etc. Finally yesterday we were able to get Kaden in to meet his other Great Grandpa Leo Yeries (93) for the first time. This past week Shawn and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary and on Saturday we went to see Josh Groban in Moline and had a really good time!

The Chatterbox

So he must have discovered he has a voice! Every morning when he wakes up like clockwork at 6:00 am Shawn and I wake up to him calmly talking to himself over the monitor until we go get him! Then he likes to happily scream now too! His babysitter Bre says he especially does it during nap time at daycare! It is the sweetest thing....after work when I pick him up from daycare now,  strapping him in his car seat getting ready to leave....he will sit there and babble and smile....like "I missed you today"!! He is a challenging eater when it comes to the bottle but LOVES eating his oatmeal and sweet potatoes! Oh and bananas too.....those I can't get in his mouth fast enough! He seems to be on strike from rolling over! Can't get him to do it now!

So Thursday he got his 6 month shots and doesn't have to go back to the Dr until he's 9 months old and no more shots until he's one year old. He finally fits in the TShirt Shawn picked out for him the night of our St Luke's birth center tour that I was unexpectedly admitted at and then had him 5 days later!
