Surgery

Since Kaden has a mild case of hypospadias we weren't able to proceed with his circumcision until today. We weren't sure how extensive things were until the Dr got in there, and THANKFULLY his defect was so mild, his urologist didn't have to perform anything other than just a circumcision! When we were finally able to go back to the recovery room to see him, sure enough the minute we turned the corner I could hear him screaming. They warned us ahead of time that little kids sometimes have a difficult time being consoled after surgery, not understanding what is happening and why things feel differently! Finally after what seemed like him crying forever, he rested quietly in my arms and drank some water from his sippy cup until they took his IV out he screamed all the way to the elevator to leave but once we got in the elevator he was fine! He slept most of the way home but once we finally got home, he was pretty restless but then calmed down and ate a bottle of milk, cheerios, pudding and drank some more water. Finally now he has laid down for a nap. Poor little guy was sure very brave today!!!
